Andhra Pradesh government will launch ‘YSR Asara Scheme’ on September 11, 2020. CMO Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will be announcing the launch. The main aim of the scheme is to empower women and to provide them with financial stability. Through this scheme it is aimed to waive off the loans of women belonging to SC, ST, BC and other minorities from the Self-Help Groups (SHGs). Under the scheme, outstanding loans of SHGs will be reimbursed. For the benefit of 7,91,257 SHGs a total of Rs. 6345.87 crores will be issued.

Scheme Objectives:
- The main objective of the scheme is to empower the women
- This scheme aims to provide a financial assistance by waiving off the loans taken by the women belonging to SHGs, to avoid the vicious circle of debts

Eligibility:
- This scheme is only applicable to women

- Thus, this scheme will be launched by the government as per its promise to reimburse all the outstanding loans.
