The government of Andhra Pradesh has started a new program called ‘YSR Jagan Anna Vidya Kanuka’. Under the program, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy distributed school kits to school students. The free school kit and the uniform scheme is for students of class 1st till class 10th in AP. The school kit consists of one school bag, two pairs of school uniforms, a belt, shoes, textbooks, notebooks, and workbooks for school students.

The government has spent a lot of money to start this scheme to overcome poverty and increase literacy in the state. With this scheme, all kids can get an education and can study in the English medium. Each school kit costs around Rs. 2000. Also the government promised to provide tablets worth Rs.12,000 to students in class 8 from August. The Andhra government is spending Rs 930 crore to benefit 47 lakh students in government schools.
According to the scheme underprivileged students will get available BYJU’s app and also bilingual textbooks including the Oxford dictionary. YS Jagan Reddy has said through this scheme will radical changes in the education system and increase the number of school admission by this year.
