To provide financial assistance to the auto and cab drivers for incurring repairs-maintenance, vehicle insurance and other expenses

CMO Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, disbursed the financial assistance to the eligible auto rikshaw and taxi drivers marking the third phase of YSR Vahana Mitra Scheme on June 15, 2021. YSR Vahana Mitra scheme was launched last year on June 4, 2020. This scheme is launched for providing financial assistance to the driver owning their own auto, taxi and maxi cabs. Under this scheme, a financial assistance of Rs. 10,000 is provided to the beneficiaries for repairs-maintenance, vehicle insurance and other expenses. This amount is deposited directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. A total of Rs. 248.47 crores are deposited into 2.48 lakh beneficiary accounts. This scheme is for assisting the auto and taxi drivers thereby ensuring their welfare in the state.
