The Government of West Bengal launched two new schemes for farmers in the state called as Amar Fasal Amar Gola Yojana & Amar Fasal Amar Gari Yojana. The schemes aims to solve storage and transportation problems for the farmers in WB. Most of the vegetables and fruits perish due to lack of storage and transportation facilitates and sometimes due to expensive services. For such crops either proper storage is important of in time transport to the mandi`s is important. The government will provide financial assistance to the farmers under these 2 schemes for construction of storage and for the purchase of the vehicle for transportation.
Amar Fasal Amar Gola Yojana: My Crop My Warehouse scheme by the WB government to provide financial assistance to the farmers for construction of warehouses.
Amar Fasal Amar Gari Yojana: My Crop, My Vehicle scheme to provide financial assistance to the farmer in WB to purchase vehicles for crop transportation.
Both will be implemented as pilot projects and as of now only for marginal farmers in the state. The farmers will be able to buy a vending cart and storage of their own.
Amar Fasal Amar Gola & Amar Fasal Amar Gari Yojana Objectives:
- To empower farmers in the state
- To improve livelihood of marginal farmers in the state
- To increase farmers income
- To provide storage facilities to the farmers
- To provide vending carts so that the fruits and vegetables can be directly sold to the consumers
Amar Fasal Amar Gola & Amar Fasal Amar Gari Yojana Benefits:
- Subsidy for purchase of vending cart
- Subsidy for constructing storage
- A subsidy of Rs. 10,000 flat will be provided for purchase of vending cart
- A subsidy of Rs. 5,000 – Rs. 25,000 will be provided for constructing of storage warehouses
Amar Fasal Amar Gola & Amar Fasal Amar Gari Yojana Implementation:
- Schemes by West Bengal government CM Mamata Banerjee
- Only for marginal farmers
- As of now implemented as pilot project
- There are 24 lakh marginal farmers in the state only 10,000 such farmers will get the benefits of the scheme
- Money will be deposited directly into beneficiaries Kisan Credit Card bank account
- Traditional and modern storage structures both are covered under the scheme
Amar Fasal Amar Gola & Amar Fasal Amar Gari Yojana Eligibility:
- Only for marginal farmers in the state
- Farmers only from West Bengal are eligible for the scheme
Amar Fasal Amar Gola & Amar Fasal Amar Gari Yojana: application forms & how to apply
- Application forms can be collected from the Panchayat office or block office
- Interested candidates are requested to fill in the complete form and attached all the required documents specified
- Submit the application for Amar Fasal Amar Gola & Amar Fasal Amar Gari Yojana in the Panchayat Samiti office or Block office
