Amma Mini Clinic, Tamil Nadu

On December 14, 2020, CMO Tamil Nadu Mr. Edapaddi Palaniswami launched ‘Amma Mini Clinics’ in the state. Under this initiative, mini clinics will be set up in the state for providing free basic medical treatment and check-up facility in the state mainly regarding the symptoms of COVID-19. These mini clinics will have a doctor, nurse and a medical assistant. All the small prodromes like headache, fever, body ache, etc in context o COVID-19 will be addressed in the clinic. This initiative is mainly for the areas where people are not available to avail basic health facilities. It will thereby help to maintain safe and good health for everyone across the state.

• The main objective of the scheme is to protect and cover the residents in the state
• Mini clinics will be opened in the state for treating the basic symptoms and illness in line with COVID-19
• Treatment will be provided free of cost under this scheme
• This scheme mainly aims at helping the poor people across the state
• It will help in stopping the further spread of the pandemic across the state
• This will help in providing disease free life to everyone in the state
• It will focus on the areas with no basic health care facility
• It will help maintain a good health for everyone and thus will lead to overall development in the state
