To promote environment protection along with increasing income of farmers, panchayats and forest committees  

Chhattisgarh government started Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Promotion Scheme on June 6, 2021. This launch was announced by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel virtually. This scheme is mainly launched aiming to protect the environment and increase income of farmers. It also tends to increase the income of panchayats and forest committees. Under the scheme forest department intends to plant about 99 lakh saplings in the state in this year. About 2.27 crore saplings will also be distributed to the residents of the state under this scheme. Incentives will be provided to the farmers for taking up plantation with or without commercial help in the upcoming paddy season.
