Dairy Sahakar Scheme

To double the income of farmers and contribute to make India self sufficient in the dairy sector.  

On October 31, 2021 Union Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah launched Dairy Sahakar scheme in Gujarat. This central sector scheme is mainly launched for doubling the income of farmers. Under this scheme government tends to provide financial support to the dairy farmers and cooperatives for various activities like bovine development, milk procurement, processing of milk and milk products, livestock, etc. It tends to encourage milk cooperatives in the state for strengthening the milk mechanism and dairy sector in the respective state. Financial support under this scheme will be provided by the way of loans. This scheme is a crucial step towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
