Delhi Govt to pay for treatment of road accident & acid attack victims in govt & private hospitals

The Arvind Kejriwal lead Delhi Government has approved new scheme for road and accident victims. Under the scheme the government will pay for treatment of road and acid attack victims. The decision came after the cabinet meet on 12th December 2017 which was chaired by the Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal. The decision is announced in a press conference post the cabinet meet by the Health Minister Delhi Satyandra Jain.

Scheme to save precious time for accident victims called Golden Hour.

Most of the people these days make an attempt to save accident victims and take them to the government hospitals even if the private hospitals are near by. Precious time is lost in finding government hospitals and taking victims to the government hospitals. With new government scheme victims can be taken to closest hospital and precious lives can be saved.

The scheme will also cover fire accidents. Every year 8,000 accidents happen in Delhi alone and about 1,600 people loss their lives affecting 15,000-20,000 people. The new initiative is expected to save a good percentage of lives.
