DIGI Locker Service for Online Document Storage Facility

Digital locker service is a service started under digital India program launched by the central government of India on February 2015. Digital Locker scheme is used to store our document safely by using a personal electronic space. The main objective of this scheme is to store your all (KYC) document like as PAN cards, voter ID cards, birth certificate etc in a safe manner

Benefits of DIGI locker system:

  • If you lost your document then digital locker system will help you to take your document online and use it at anywhere and anytime
  • You can share your e-documents online with any registered agency
  • It provides you 10MB personal storage space and you may be increased up to 1GB in future
  • The DG locker cannot be through fraud nor fake documents, it is perfectly neat and clean process
  • You can also download your e-aadhar card from the Digi Locker website
  • Digital Locker is linked to your Aadhaar number

Required eligibility and conditions for DIGI locker system:

  1. Eligible candidate must be Indian citizen
  2. The service will be available only and only those who have adhar card number at their disposal

Document required for the scheme of DIGI locker system:

  1. Aadhar card
  2. Applicant’s contact details (Electricity bill, Gas connection bill, Voter id, etc.)

Application procedure:

  1. First, go to https://digitallocker.gov.in then click on the website This space provides to enter your 12 -digit Aadhaar number. There are two options: OTP use or use fingerprint
  2. Select OTP use, enter the mobile number based on a number of cards will come down, which will fill the space on the screen and click on use OTP. Thereafter, the username and password you will make
  3. This option is only for those who have no mobile number to link to adhar card if you use fingerprint option by using the biometric device where you need to scan your fingerprint. Instead of using mobile number option you can also choose fingerprint option
