To provide assistance to the students in the state whose education was affected by the pandemic thereby ensuring their welfare.

Tamil Nadu government has newly come up with Education at home scheme for school children studying in Class 1 to 8 in the state whose education was affected due to the pandemic. Announcement of this scheme was made by Chief Minister MK Stalin. This scheme aims to reduce the learning gap among the students. Under this scheme, volunteers will be appointed and these volunteers will take up classes for students after school. These classes will be around the academic topics. These classes tend to ensure that the students learn in the class and enjoy the class at the same time. This scheme tends to ensure that no child is deprived of education in the state. Total budget allocated by the state government for this scheme is Rs. 200 crores.
