Financial Assistance Scheme for Purchasing Artificial Limbs & Hearing Aids is launched by Social Welfare Department (Government of Uttarakhand) for physically handicapped persons in the state. Under this scheme, the government provides financial assistance to the physically handicapped persons for Purchasing Artificial Limbs & Hearing Aids. The main objective behind introducing this scheme is to provide financial assistance to physically handicapped persons for the purchase of aids/ appliances to increase their mobility in their day to day working. The recommendation of applying the artificial limbs or hearing aid to the candidates is done by the Medical Officer. In our society, there are handicapped, physically disabled people. Some of them are physically born handicapped or there are others who have lost limbs or sense organs on account of an attack of some diseases. Others are victims of accidents such as train or bus accidents, injury in factories and so on. Uttarakhand government has taken excellent intuitive for disabled people. For getting benefits under this scheme applicant candidate needs to qualify some eligibility norms which are mentioned below in articles like income limit and other things mentioned below
