Free Sanitary Napkins Scheme, Rajasthan

To create awareness and improve health & hygiene of women in the state thus preventing various diseases.

From November 19, 2021, Rajasthan government will start Free Sanitary Napkins scheme in the state for providing free sanitary napkins to the women who are in need of it. This scheme will be started marking the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The napkins provided under the scheme will be made by Rajasthan Health Services Corporation Limited. This scheme is aimed to protect the health and hygiene of girls. It tends to make available sanitary pads to each and every woman in need. In case of women belonging to poor rural family background with lack of amenities, this scheme will turn out as a boon. CM Ashok Gehlot approved a proposal of Rs. 200 crores for this initiative.
