The Hostel Scheme in Bihar is launched by Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and implemented by Bihar government. This scheme especially launched for students who belong to an economically weaker family and one of the category SC, ST, and OBC. Under this scheme, free hostel facilities are provided along with food and some other requirements. At present, there are 146 running hostels for SC, 13 hostels for ST and 5 hostels for OBC. The students in these hostels run mess by themselves. For this mess, the govt. provides cook-cum-servant to cook food. Students who are the permanent residence of Bihar state can apply under this scheme but students need to qualify some eligibility norms which are mentioned below in the article. - Applicant candidate can collect application form by visiting nearer Welfare Departments, that is, BWO, SWO and DWO
