Voters can now apply for change in address in voter card online at National Voters Service Portal (nvsp.in). The change in the address within the constituency requires your name to be added in the new constituency & deletion of your name from the old constituency. Whenever you shift to the new address with in the same constituency you need to fill Form 8A to change address in the voter card.

You can change your address in the voter card online & dont need to visit any office personally. You just need to go to the National Voters Service Portal fill in Form 8A, upload relevant documents & submit your application. It is also called as Transposition within Assembly.

Documents required for change in address in voter card:

  • Latest scanned passport size photograph
  • Address proof: passport, driving license, bank passbook, ration card, rent agreement, water bill, telephone bill, electricity bill, gas connection bill etc

STEP 2: Click on Transposition within Assembly (Form 8A) link or CLICK HERE

STEP 4: Enter your personal details such as name & voter id details
STEP 5: Enter your email & mobile number
STEP 6: Enter complete address correctly
STEP 7: Upload your recent passport size photograph
STEP 8: Enter your place (city/village) & CAPTCHA
STEP 9: Submit your application
STEP 10: Make a note of your application no. it is required to check status of your application
