All the citizens with valid voter ID card can update their details such as name & address in the voter ID card / electoral roll. Most of the voters has incorrect details on their voter ID card due to manual or system errors. Such errors can be corrected online at National Voters Service Portal. Voters just need to submit Form 8 at nvsp.in With form 8 voters can correct/change name, photograph, date of birth, gender, name of relative & relation etc.
How to change name, address & details in voter card / electoral roll?
STEP 1: CLICK HERE to go to the National Voters Service Portal (nvsp.in) |
STEP 2: Click on Correction of entries in electoral roll or CLICK HERE |
STEP 3: You will be redirected to Form 8 online |
STEP 4: Select your state, district, assembly constituency |
STEP 5: Provide your name & electoral roll details |
STEP 6: Tick on the entries you want to correct |
STEP 7: Provide correct details which needs to be corrected |
STEP 8: Upload required documents |
STEP 9: Provide your email id & mobile number |
STEP 10: Mention your present place & enter CAPTCHA |
STEP 11: Click on the Submit button to complete the application |
Make a note of the application reference number. It is required to check the status.
NOTE: Maximum 3 particulars can be corrected at a time, if you have more than 3 entries to be corrected in the voter card then apply multiple times.
Required Documents:
Required documents are based on the particulars to be corrected or changed. For ex: To change photograph, scanned passport size latest photograph is required. To change the date of birth age proof document is required.
