Inspire Fellowship for Assured Opportunity for Research Careers (AORC)

The Inspire Fellowship for Assured Opportunity for Research Careers started by (Ministry of Science and Technology). The scheme is specially launched to attract talent for the study of science and careers with research. It offers a contractual research award to young achievers and opportunity for independent research in the near term and emerges as a future leader in the long term. This scheme is applicable to Basic and Applied Sciences as well as Medicine, Agriculture etc. with the provision of multiple entries. The fellowship will be offered to University 1st Ranker in a particular subject at PG level examination in Basic and Applied Science courses, as well as INSPIRE scholar, who have secured aggregate marks of 65 %, is above at the 2 years M.Sc or 5-year Integrated M.Sc/MS. The main objective behind introducing this scheme is to nurturing talents for scientific research

Required eligibility and conditions for applying Inspire Fellowship for Assured Opportunity for Research Careers:

1. Indian citizens and people of Indian origin including NRI/PIO status with Ph.D. (in science, mathematics, engineering, pharmacy, medicine, and agriculture-related subjects) from any recognized university in the world
2. Those who have submitted their Ph.D. Theses and are awaiting award of the degree are also eligible. However, the award will be conveyed only after confirmation of the awarding the Ph.D. degree
3. Candidates who are within top 1% at the School Leaving Examination, IIT-JEE rank, 1st Rank Holder either in graduation or post-graduation level university examination (which are used presently for identifying INSPIRE Scholars at undergraduate level and INSPIRE Fellows for doctoral degree)
4. The upper age limit as on 1st July 2015 should be 32 years for considering support for a period of 5 years. However, for SC and ST candidates, upper age limit will be 35 years

Document required for applying Inspire Fellowship for Assured Opportunity for Research Careers:

1. Before filling the application form, please scan and store the following documents as separate files. The same documents need to be uploaded as required during the On-line Application process
2. Passport size photograph in JPEG format maximum size 50 kb
3. Mark sheets of educational qualifications (like 12th, UG & PG Program) in PDF format and maximum size 1 MB
4. Admission Letter (Only joining as JRF will not be acceptable, in that case, you submit as a Ph.D. scholar) in PDF format and maximum size 1 MB
5. Fee Receipt in PDF format and maximum size 1 MB
6. Endorsement Letter (Template Provide at http://www.inspire-dst.gov.in) in PDF format and maximum size 1 MB
7. Detail Write up of research to be done in PDF format and maximum size 1 MB
8. If not enrolled in Ph.D. brief tentative write-up of research to be done in PDF format and maximum size 1 MB
