In some Indian states, girls still discriminate against boys, forward to end discrimination against the girl child Delhi government has launched Ladli Scheme on 1-01-2008 for the protection of girl children and to spread awareness about the importance of girl child in society. This scheme helps to provide security to girls and to promote education among girls.

Benefits of Ladli Scheme:
- If a girl is born in the hospital/nursing home of NCT (National Capital Territory) in Delhi then she gets the benefits of Rs. 11,000
- If a girl is born at home or outside of the above mention hospitals then she is eligible to get benefits of Rs. 10,000
- The scheme helps to provide Rs. 5000 for admission of the child in Class 1, Class 6, Class 9, Class 10 and Class 12
Required eligibility and conditions for Ladli Scheme:
- Applicant must be resident of Delhi
- Annual income of family should not exceed 1 lakh
- Benefits of the scheme is only for two girl children in family
- Applicant school must be recognized by Delhi government
Document required for the scheme:
- Address proof (Three-year residence proof in Delhi e.g. Ration card, Electricity bill )
- Income certificate of parent
- Birth certificate of girl child
- Family photo
- Cast certificate of applicant
- Aadhaar card of both child and parent
