Manabik Prakalpa Scheme: Monthly pension for disabled in West Bengal

The Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamta Banarjee has launched Manabik Prakalpa Scheme to provide financial assistance to the person with disabilities (PWDs) in the state. A monthly pension of Rs. 1,000 will be provided to all the differently abled (divyang`s / handicapped) in the WB. The primary objective of the scheme is to empower disabled & to make sure they live with dignity & self-respect. Manabik scheme is expected to benefit 2 lakh people with disabilities in the state. The WB government has allocated a budget of Rs. 250 crores for the implementation of the scheme.

What is Manabik Scheme? A state government scheme to provide monthly pension to the person with disabilities (PWDs).

Manabik Prakalpa Scheme Benefits: Monthly pension of Rs. 1,000 for disabled

Manabik Scheme Eligibility:

  • Application only to the person with disabilities in West Bengal
  • Applicable only those with more than 50% disability
  • Family income of the applicant must not be more than Rs. 1 lakh

List of documents required for application of Manabik Scheme: 

  • Residential Certificate
  • Disability Certificate from appropriate authority duly self attested
  • Income Certificate
  • Aadhaar
  • Voter ID
  • Ration Card
  • Bank Pass Book

WB Manabik Pension Scheme for Handicapped: Application form & How to apply?

Department of Women & Child Development & Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal has launched Manbik Application Forms in PDF format which can be download from their website birbhum.gov.in.

STEP 1: CLICK HERE to download the application form in the PDF format. The Manabik form also can be collected free of cost from Office of the Block Development Office or Panchayat Samiti Office or Municipal Corporation.

STEP 2: Fill up the application form completely

STEP 3: Paste passport size photograph & sign the form

STEP 4: Submit the form to the Office of the Block Development Office or Panchayat Samiti Office or Municipal Corporation
