On May 30, 2021 the Madhya Pradesh government launched a new scheme named ‘Mukhya Mantri COVID-19 Bal Sewa Yojana’ for the children who lost their parents due to covid. This launch was undertaken by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan by virtually transferring Rs. 5000 into the bank accounts of 173 children (beneficiaries). This scheme was announced in the month of May. Under this scheme the state government will take various welfare measures pay for those children who lost their parents/ earning member in the family due to covid and are facing hardships. The state government will provide a financial assistance of Rs. 5,000 per month to such children. Upbringing and education of such children will be taken care of by the government. State government will provide free education to the children. This scheme is an important step taken by the state government to take care of the beneficiary children in these tough times.
