The government of Odisha has announced Mukhya Mantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana a assistance scheme for artists in the state of Odisha. The artists who work on the popularizing and spreading art and culture will be given assistance under the scheme.
The Mukhya Mantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana (MMKSJ) will provide 50,000 artists across the state a monthly assistance of Rs. 1,200. The Chief Minister of Odisha navin Patnaik announced the scheme. As of now only 4,000 artists are given assistance of Rs. 1000 every month. The government has also relaxed eligibility for the assistance.
Eligibility / Who can apply for Mukhya Mantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana?
- Artists who are residents of Odisha
- Female artists with 40 year of age or more
- Male artists with 50 years of age or more
