On March 3, 2021, Gujarat government announced a housing scheme named Mukhyamantri Audyogik Shramyogi Ane Industrial Housing Aawas (MASIHA), for the labourers in the state whereby the labourers will be provided with housing facility near the factories where they work. This scheme was announced by Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Nitin Patel. Under this scheme the workers, labourers will be provided with housing near the factories at concessional rates. Industrial production and functioning were affected due to lock-down last year as labours, workers had to migrate. Thus, the government now has planned to cater to the needs of the labourers by providing them with housing facilities near the factories where they work.
