Mukhyamantri Mahila Kosh Scheme (मुख्यमंत्री महिला कोष योजना) Madhya Pradesh: pension for divorced and unmarried women over 50 years

The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shree Shivrajsingh Chauhan has announced a pension scheme for divorced and unmarried women over 50 years of age in the state called Mukhyamantri Mahila Kosh Scheme (मुख्यमंत्री महिला कोष योजना). The government will setup a pension fund for such women and pay monthly pension to them. The objective of the scheme is to empower and support widows and unmarried across the state. The scheme is launched on the International Women`s Day (अन्तराष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस).

The CM also announced various programs and scheme on the occasion. Women self-help group will be given school dress making work. Women will be given loans to start small and medium scale businesses via self-help groups. Womens hostels will be started across the major cities in the states for working women. 30% reservation will be given in women judge appointments. Poor and BPL pregnant women will be given monthly financial assistance of Rs. 4,000 till 6th month and Rs. 12,000 after that.
