Patang Yojana (Passport Assistance to aspiring Young Graduates), Shiksha Setu mobile app & 10 crore to encourage students startups in Haryana

The Government of Haryana has launched various initiatives for students and teachers in the state. The state Education Minister Shree. Ram Bilas Sharma launched Patang Yojana (Passport Assistance to aspiring Young Graduates)Shiksha Setu mobile app along with 10 crores to encourage students startups in the state.

10 crores for students startups in Haryana:

  • The governments wants to create and encourage self employment through entrepreneurship to create more jobs in the state
  • Government wants students to create jobs for them and others with their innovative ideas by converting them to startup businesses
  • Haryana Government has made the provision of Rs. 10 crores for enabling and equipping the students studying in colleges and universities for launching their own start-ups
  • The minister also launched the Start-up Incubator-cum-Center of Excellence at Government Post-Graduate College, Sector-1 in Panchkula
  • The minister emphasized the PM Shree. Narendra Modi`s vision of Digital India on the occasion
  • The Startup Incubation cum Center of Excellence in Panchakula will promote and support entrepreneurship at all the levels. The 3000 sqft center will cater to students from four government colleges of Panchkula district namely, Government Postgraduate College, Sector-1, Government Post Graduate Women’s College, Sector-14, Government College, Barwala and Government College, Kalka
  • The center will work on converting students ideas to successful businesses
  • The government will also start the money bank for entrepreneurs in the state which will provide interest free loan/financial assistance to the startups
  • A new bus service will be started for girls students who travel from the remote villages

Shiksha Setu mobile app & website for teachers & students:

  • An initiative of Higher Education Department of Government of Haryana
  • With the app & website all the students will be able to pay fees online
  • The app will also help them to apply for various scholarships and get updates on them
  • Details of all the teachers, students and other educational employees will be available on the Shiksha Setu app & website
  • The CM Shree. Manoharlal Khattar is very keen on improving the education facilities in the state
  • The Khattar government had laid foundation stone of 21 government colleges at one go and this year, 10 women’s colleges are being opened
  • The special emphasize is on the girl/women education and new bus service will be started for them for girl students from remote, hilly areas and villages

  • A new website to students to apply for passports
  • Under the scheme students can easily apply and get their passports from campuses
  • It is also Higher Education Department`s initiative
  • The minister also handed over passports to 21 students at the launch
