Pradhanmantri Pik Vima Yojana for Rabbi Season in Maharashtra for Farmer

Pradhanmantri Pik Vima Yojana for Rabbi Season launched by the central government of India for farmers. This scheme started implementing in 2016 for the kharip season by agriculture department of Maharashtra. Now, Pradhanmantri Pik Vima Yojana is also implementing for rabbi season in Maharashtra for farmers. The main objective of this scheme is to protect farmers from Natural disaster, pest, and disease on crops by giving them insurance. Under this scheme, the government also encourage farmers to use newly improved mechanization and agriculture tools for increase production, to give confidence to farmers and also provide financial support for agriculture areas in the state. Pradhanmantri Pik Vima Yojana premium rate is very low, so farmers will be able to pay the installments easily. According to Pradhanmantri Pik Vima Yojana farmers will be paid a 2% premium for crops in Kharif season, 1.5 % for Rabi season crops and 5 % premium for commercial crops like rabbi onion and other horticultural crops. Under Pradhanmantri Pik Vima Yojana, 70% insurance money fixed by the government for all crops. All borrower farmers are compulsory to get insurance under this scheme and insurance is not compulsory for nonborrower farmers in Maharashtra state. The risk covers under this insurance is Natural Fire and Lightning, Storm, Hailstorm, Cyclone, Typhoon, Tempest, Hurricane, Tornado, Flood, Inundation and Landslide Drought, Dry spells and Pests/ Diseases etc.

Eligibility of Pradhanmantri Pik Vima Yojana for Rabbi Season:

All farmers in Maharashtra state are eligible for this scheme
Small and marginal farmers also eligible for this scheme
Farmer who borrows loan for agriculture are compulsory to get insurance under this scheme
Farmers who are not borrow any loan for agriculture also eligible for Pradhanmantri Pik Vima Yojana

Applicant application form
Applicant identity proof such as Aadhaar card
Applicant 7/12
Bank passbook copy
Bank account details
Applicant passport size photo

Application procedure:

Applicant should contact nearest branches of any nationalized bank for application procedure
Farmers also apply online through site http://agri-insurance.gov.in/Login.aspx
Click on the farmer applications http://agri-insurance.gov.in/Farmer_Details.aspx link and fill details
Now, there are two options, farmers can apply through bank or apply directly to insurance company
Once fill all essential details, farmers have to upload scan copy of land and crop details
Once fill all details just submit the form and get printout of the application form
Applicant also contact agriculture department, gram panchayat, Zilla Parishad and district/taluka agriculture officer in Maharashtra
