The Government of Rajasthan announced their budget for year 2018-19. The CM Vasundhara Raje announced various schemes, loans, subsidies for various sections of the society in the budget.
Rajasthan Budget 2018-19 Highlights:
- Loan waiver for loans upto Rs. 2 lakhs along with the interest on it for SC/ST, sanitation workers and differently-abled which will cost Rs. 114 crores to the state government
- Interest free loans of upto Rs. 2 lakh for hair stylists, cobblers, rickshaw pullers, plumbers with objective of creating self employment opportunity for the poor in the state
- Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Antyoday Swarojgar Yojna (भैरोसिंह शेखावत अंत्योदय स्वरोजगार योजना): Loan of Rs. 50 thousand to 50 thousand people from SC, ST, OBC categories in the state. The loan will be provided at the interest rate of less than 4%
- Sundar Singh Bhandari EBC Swarojgar Yojna (सुन्दर सिंह भंडारी EBC स्वरोजगार योजना): Loan of Rs. 50 thousand at the interest of less than 4% for EBC welfare to promote self employment opportunities for 50 thousand families
- Free scooty to 200 girls in the Rajasthan who secure 85% in class 10th and class 12th board examination
- Scholarship scheme of Rs. 273.50 crore for pre and post metric students under EBC scheme
- Two year child care leave for women employees
- Recruitment for various positions in different departments of Rajasthan Government:
- Education Department: 77,000
- Home Department: 5,718
- Administrative Reforms Department: 11,930
- Health Department: 6,571
- Provision of Rs. 25 crores for VRS
- Hike in monthly mess allowance for welfare of 80,000 police employees
