Rajiv Gandhi Swavlamban Rozgar Yojana (RJSRY) is the scheme by Delhi Khadi & Village Industries Board for the welfare of unemployed youth, artisans, skilled technocrats and entrepreneurs by providing financial assistance or the opportunities to start their earning source. It is applicable in the total Union Territory of Delhi where the main motive of the government is to provide employment and make each person reliable to contribute into the country’s growth. It is the scheme administered by Delhi Khadi & Village Industries Board and funded by Delhi government.
Benefits of Rajiv Gandhi Swavlamban Rozgar Yojana:
- Loan up to Rs. 3 lakhs: The scheme provides the loan of maximum amount up to Rs. 3 lakhs to make sure that no individual remains deprived of the chance of starting his/her self-employment venture
- Limited contribution: Beneficiary from the general category has to contribute 10% of the total expenses whereas beneficiary from special categories like SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically Handicapped (PH) need to contribute only 5% and rest is covered by government
- Subsidy from Delhi govt.: For all the entrepreneur starting new business venture will get subsidy of 15% on total project expense max limit is Rs. 7, 500-/ per entrepreneur. In case of joint venture each individual will get subsidy separately.
- Training Programmes: Special skill development programme are conducted in order to make unskilled a skilled one and grab self-employment opportunities
- Marketing support: The beneficiary taking financial assistance for their venture will get marketing support from Delhi govt. by allowing them to display their product Delhi Emporium and couple of more platform
Eligibility for Rajiv Gandhi Swavlamban Rozgar Yojana:
- School/College dropout who is above age of 18
- Individual Entrepreneur
- Trade Professionals
- Artisans
- Small-Scale Industrial units which have total investment of plant, machinery and equipment not exceeding the ceiling prescribed for small scale units by the Central Government from time to time and must be located within the National Capital Territory of Delhi
- Passed out candidates from any technical/professional institutions and are unemployed
- Person must not be more than 50 years of age

- Electoral photo
- Identity card (Election card, Driving license, Passport, Aadhar card)
- Work site details
- Education qualification details (Mark sheets & Degree/Diploma)
- Electricity Bill (Residence)
- Affidavit in prescribed format, duly attested by the NOTARY PUBLIC
- Registration Certification from MCD (only for shop/business/professional)
- NOC of HPC & MCL (only for industrial units in non-confirming area)
- Caste Certificate
