Street Theatre and Performing Arts Fellowship Scheme, Delhi

To provide an opportunity to the artists to exhibit their art on the streets thereby promoting the art & culture among the general public

On January 15, 2021, the Delhi government started a new ‘Street Theatre and Performing Arts Fellowship’ scheme for the artists across the state. This scheme is launched by the Deputy Chief Minster of Delhi, Mr. Manish Sisodia. It was launched at the Delhi Secretariat. Under this scheme about 500 artists from artistic backgrounds are selected for fellowship. More 500 artists will be added to the existing ones in the near future. This scheme will cover artists from theatre, music, dance, fine arts, etc. On one hand it will be a source of livelihood for the artists and on the other hand it will promote street art in the state.

Scheme Details:

  • Deputy CM of Delhi, Mr. Manish Sisodia launched a unique scheme named Street Theatre and Performing Arts Fellowship for the artists across the state
  • It will be implemented by Sahitya Kala Parishad under the Department of Arts, Culture and Languages
  • This scheme is launched for giving an opportunity to the artists to exhibit their talent and art on the streets thereby directly reaching out to a huge public

  • They will then perform on the streets in a team of 10 at different places across Delhi
