Rajasthan government launched its much-awaited Universal Health Scheme – ‘Mukhya Mantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana’ across the state on May 1, 2021. This scheme was initially announced by the CM on in the state budget for 2021-22. This scheme tends to cover all the families in the state. It will provide the families in the state with annual insurance cover up to Rs. 5 lakhs. Under this scheme, BPL families, small, marginal farmers NFSA beneficiaries and other under privileged sections, will be provided free insurance and Other beneficiaries not covered under any other scheme will be required to pay Rs. 850 annually. In the current covid situations beneficiaries will be provided free treatment under this scheme. In these crucial times this health coverage will turn out to be boon for all the residents.

Objectives and Benefits:
- The main objective of the scheme is to protect and cover the residents in the state
- This scheme will provide annual medical insurance cover of Rs. 5 lakhs for each family

- Universal Health Scheme – Mukhya Mantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana is a scheme whereby all the citizens of the state will get health insurance benefits under one insurance cover
- This scheme was launched and implementation started from May 1, 2021

- Last date of registration for residents has been increased from April 30 to May 31, 2021 keeping in mind the pandemic situations
