UPSC 2018-Combined Defence Service Exam (I): How to apply online?

The Union Public Service Commission has announced the state of the online registration for the UPSC 2018-Combined Defence Service (CDS) Exam (I). The examination is conducted twice every year and candidates are chosen for Army, Navy and Air Force.

Eligibility criteria UPSC Combined Defence Service Exam (I):

  • Indian Military Academy (IMA):
    • Age limit: Unmarried male born between 2nd January 1995 to 1st January 2000 can apply
    • Education: Candidates with degree from a recognized university can apply
  • Officers Training Academy (OTA) age limit:
    • Age limit (Male): Male candidates born between 2nd January 1995 to 1st January 2000 can apply
    • Age limit (Female): Unmarried women, issue-less widow/divorces who have not remarried can apply
    • Education: Candidates with degree from a recognized university can apply
  • Indian Navy Academy (INA):
    • Age limit: Unmarried male born between 2nd January 1995 to 1st January 2000 can apply
    • Education: Candidates with degree from a recognized university and with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level can apply

How to apply online for  UPSC 2018 Combined Defence Service Exam (I):

STEP 1: Visit official portal for Union Public Service Commission at http://www.upsc.gov.in/

STEP 2: Application links will be available at Apply Online or click here

STEP 3: Click on the Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC under Apply Online & select the exam you want to apply for

STEP 4: Fill in the complete form, make a payment, select the center of your choice, upload the requested documents along with your photo and signature and submit the application
