Government of Maharashtra has launched Atal Aahar Yojna (AAY) for construction workers in the state. Quality & hygienic food will be provided to the workers at subsidized rates. The objective of the scheme is to make sure that the construction workers & laborers has good food. They are involved in hard labor & nutritious food is very much required. They will be given food at the nominal rate of Rs. 5.

The scheme will be implemented in phases. To start with it will be implemented in few areas of the state & then will be extended to other parts of the state. In the first phase 20,000 workers will get benefits of the scheme.

There are 10 lakh laborers registered with the Labor Board of the state. The registration of the labor is open to all & government has requested all the labors to register with the board to get benefits of all the welfare scheme by the government.
Government is planning to provide food at the places where labors are working. The scheme ensures food for all. Maharashtra government has launched various scheme for labors focusing on their income, health & education.
Shramev Jayate Yojana:
A government of Maharashtra scheme for the labors in the state. Pension of Rs. 3,000 per month is given to the labors above 60 years of age. In case of the labor`s death the pension will be provided to their nominees.

Jan Aarogya Yojana:
A health care scheme by the Maharashtra Government. Labors are provided medical facilities up to Rs. 1.5 lakh under the scheme.
