Telangana Government has launched Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme / Overseas Study Scheme for Minorities for minority students in the state. Under the scheme scholarships will be given to the students from the minorities students for higher studies in foreign universities. Government`s aim is to provide equal opportunities to the poor students from the minority classes, With scheme they will get quality education & improve their life standards. The grant will be given to 500 selected students every year.

Benefits:
- Grant of Rs. 10,000 for tuition fees, living expenses, Visa fees etc
- Educational loan of upto Rs. 5 lakh from the nationalized banks
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicable only for the permanent residents of Telangana only
- Applicable only for the minority students
- Applicable only for post-graduation & Ph.D. programs
- Income Limit: Family income of the applicant must be less than Rs. 2 lakh
- Age Limit: 30 year
- Applicant must have less then 60% in the qualifying examinations
- Only one child in a family can get benefits of the scheme
- Applicant must have valid TOEFL / IELTS & GRE / GMAT scores

Universities in USA, UK, Australia, Canada, & Singapore are eligible under the scheme. Interested students can apply for most of the recognized universities in these countries.

- Copy of valid passport
- Birth certificate
- Caste certificate
- Income certificate
- Scanned passport size photograph
- Aadhaar card
- E-Pass ID number
- Resident certificate
- Mark-sheets of the qualifying examinations
- TOEFL / IELTS & GRE / GMAT score card
- Admission offer letter of the foreign university
- Copy of latest tax assessment
- Copy of the bank passbook
