Dharsa Vikas Yojana, Chhattisgarh

On the occasion of Swami Atmanand Jayanti, CMO Chhattisgarh, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel announced ‘Dharsa Vikas Yojana’ for the state. This scheme is to be launched soon. Under the scheme the raw road to Dharsa in the villages will be strengthened. This scheme was announced by the CM on October 6, 2020, via video conferencing from Patan, Durg.  In the Jayanti programme CM Baghel also stated a synopsis of the good deeds and work done by Swami Atmanand.

Scheme Objectives and Benefits:

• The main objective of the scheme is to strengthen the raw road to Dharsa in the villages
• It aims to solve the commutation problems of the villagers and thereby increase rural connectivity
• The kachha road will be converted into pakka road under this scheme
• This will help the villagers in commutation and transportation
• It will enable safe commutation of the villagers
• This scheme will improve the overall rural infrastructure in the long run

• A committee of secretaries of the Panchayat, Revenue and Public Works Department will be formed under the scheme
• This committee will prepare the Dharsa construction plan and accordingly it will be implemented
• CM also stated the good deeds of Swami Atmanand and Swami Vivekananda
• He said, Swami Atmanand gave the message of service to the suffering of humanity. He considered service to humanity as the greatest religion
• Swami Vivekanand a discipline of Ramakrishna Paramhamsa spread the Ramakrishna Bhavadhara across the country and built monasteries. Swami Atmanand also later built many ashrams and monasteries
• In the programme CM also announced the opening of English medium schools in the state under Swami Atmanand English Medium School Scheme
• On this occasion, officials and citizens of various societies including Sarvashri Sitaram Verma, Mehtar Ram Verma, Ashwini Sahu were present
• Agriculture minister Ravindra Choubey, Cooperation Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam, Urban Administration Minister Dr Shiv Kumar Dahria, Advisor to CM Pradeep Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary to CM Subrata Sahu and CM Secretary Siddharth Komal Pardesi were also present on the occasion.
