The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the Digital India Program to promote the use of digital mediums and technology to provide government services across India. The main objective of the initiative is to make sure that the government services are accessible across India including rural and remote area. To implement the Digital India Program government started Common Service Centers (CSC) across India these are physical centers for citizens to access government services. Similarly digitalseva.csc.gov.in is a Digital Seva Common Services Centers is a online portal which citizens can use to various government services.
The Digital Seva CSC portal provide services to the citizens seating at home and also brings in transparency and accountability in the system. More importantly it removes the middle man and stops corruption in the government offices.
