The Government of Uttar Pradesh has announced Divyangjan Shadi-Vivah Protsahan Yojana to help differently able (disabled) in the state. The scheme provides financial assistance to them on their marriage. The UP Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Vibhag implements the scheme and provides incentives to the handicapped. The department has launched a website / portal divyangjan.upsdc.gov.in for registrations so that handicapped people can apply online sitting at home. The website will provide convenience to the handicapped people and save their time and money.
What is Divyangjan Shadi-Vivah Protsahan Yojana? A marriage assistance scheme for the handicapped in the UP.
Divyangjan Shadi-Vivah Protsahan Yojana Objectives:
- To provide financial assistance to the handicapped on their marriage
- To encourage handicapped marriages
Divyangjan Shadi-Vivah Protsahan Yojana Benefits:
- Provide marriage assistance to the handicapped
- Financial assistance of upto Rs. 35 thousand to the handicapped on their marriage
- If the boy is handicapped then he will get financial incentives of Rs. 15 thousand
- If the girl is handicapped then she gets financial assistance of Rs. 20 thousand
- If both are handicapped then they are given Rs. 35,000 under the scheme
Eligibility / Who can apply?
- The scheme is applicable only in Uttar Pradesh
- The scheme is applicable only to the handicapped
- Only those whos disability is more than 40% only those can apply
- Applicant must not be involved in any crime
- The age of the boy must be between 21 – 45 years
- The age of the girl must be between 18 year to 45 years
