Goa State cabinet approved the Chief Minister’s Apprenticeship Training scheme on February 17, 2021. Under this scheme all the apprentices under Apprentices Act, 1961 will be covered for additional training. This scheme will be beneficial for the apprentices across the state. This scheme tends to empower the youth and make them industry ready. It will be implemented though the Goa Human Resource Development Corporation (GHRDC). Currently the scheme is planned for 1 year with a scope for expansion based on results.

Scheme Details:
- On February 17, 2021 the Goa state cabinet headed by CM Pramod Sawant, approved Chief Minister’s Apprenticeship Training Scheme, 2021
- This scheme will be applicable to all the apprentices in the state
- This scheme will be implemented by the Goa Human Resource Development Corporation (GHRDC)
- This scheme will be in force for 1-year
- All the skilled as well as unskilled apprentices will be provided additional training and exposure under this scheme
