Oversees voters (Indian citizens who are residing outside India) can apply for voter ID card online. The online applications for voter card can be done on the National Voters Service Portal www.nvsp.in The Election Commission of India wants to make sure that all the oversees voters can vote. All such voters can now get their name added to the electoral roll online. They can fill in Form 6A based on the rule 8B online to get their names added & vote in the elections.

Step by step application procedure to apply for voter card for oversees voters:
STEP 1: CLICK HERE to go to the National Voters Service Portal |
STEP 2: Click on Apply online for registration of overseas voter (Form 6A) or CLICK HERE |
STEP 3: Choose your state, district & assembly constituency |
STEP 4: Provide your personal details such as name, name of the relative who already has EPIC, relation, date of birth |
STEP 5: Provide your place of birth, gender, email ID & mobile number |
STEP 6: Place of residence in India which is mentioned on the passport |
STEP 7: Provide passport details such such as passport number, date & place of issue of passport |
STEP 8: Provide VISA details |
STEP 9: Upload your latest passport size photograph & valid pages of passport |
STEP 10: Follow rest of the instructions carefully & submit your application |
Make sure you make a note of the application reference number. It is required to track the status of the application for future reference.
