IIT Kanpur has released official notification / information broacher for JEE (Advanced) 2018 on its official portal jeeadv.ac.in All the students who are willing to take admissions to IITs for Bachelors and Master degree are required to take the examinations and admissions to the IITs will be based on their performance in JEE 2018.
IIT JEE Advanced 2018: Important Dates
- Exam date: 20th May 2018
- Registration begins: May 2 (10 am)
- Last date for registration: May 7 (5 pm)
- Last date for payment of fee: May 8 (5 pm)
IIT JEE Advanced 2018 Eligibility Criteria:
- Only Indian Nationals (including PIO/OCI) can apply
- Should be among the top 2,24,000* in paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2018
- Applicant should have passed class 12th/equivalent exam in the first attempt in 2017/2018
- The applicant should be born after October 1, 1993 (Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates.)
- Applicant should not have appeared for JEE earlier and should not be admitted to any of the IITs previously
Exam Pattern and Schedule: IIT JEE 2018 will have two compulsory papers paper-1 and paper-2 of 3 hours duration each
- Paper 1: 20th May 2018 9 am to 12 pm
- Paper 2: 20th May 2018 2 pm to 5 pm
The complete examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only. The questions will be in Hindi and English and the candidates can choose their preferred language during the examination only. 2018 JEE is conducted by IIT Kanpur.
Examination Cities: IIT JEE 2018 will be conducted in several cities across India along with some of the cities in foreign countries. Candidates can choose their exam cities at the time of registration.
JEE (Advanced) 2018 Registrations: How to apply online?
STEP 1: Interested candidates eligible for JEE (Advanced) 2018 must register online at the JEE (Advanced) web portal jeeadv.ac.in
STEP 2: Upload all the required document such as all the mark sheets, identity card, caste certificate in case of reserved category
STEP 3: Pay registration/examination fees online
STEP 4: Submit application and download confirmation for future reference
Registration Fees:
Indian Nationals (including PIO/OCI)
- Female candidates (all categories): Rs. 1300 + GST
- SC, ST, PwD candidates: Rs. 1300 + GST
- For all other candidates: Rs. 2600 + GST
Foreign Nationals
- Candidates from SAARC countries: USD 160 + GST
- Candidates from Non-SAARC countries: USD 300 + GST
CBT in Foreign Countries
- All Indian Nationals (including PIO/OCI): USD 160 + GST
- Candidates from SAARC countries: USD 160 + GST
- Candidates from Non-SAARC countries: USD 300 + GST

Admission Process in IITs:
- Only qualified candidates in IIT JEE can be admitted to the IITs for different courses
- The applicant must have secured at least 75% aggregate marks in the Class XII (or equivalent) board examination
- The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%
- Must be within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates
The eligible candidates for admission will have to participate in joint seat allocation process by filling in their choices of the courses. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2018 will announce the seat allocation. The dates for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2018 will be announced post examinations.
