Rajasthan government has launched a new scheme named Kalibai Bhil meritorious student scooty scheme mainly for meritorious girl students in the state. Under this scheme free scooties are provided to the eligible students in the state. It aims at promoting education of students. This announcement is made by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. He stated that this scheme is named after Kalibai Bhil as brave woman who sacrificed her life for spreading the importance of education in the tribal areas. Thus, the scheme is named after her thereby keeping her as a source of inspiration. The state government is making constant efforts for promoting education for girls even in the rural and tribal areas. This scheme aims to encourage more girls to take up higher studies. It tends to assist them to become independent.
