The Haryana Government has announced Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav Portal to invite and simplify CSR contribution to ancestral village in Haryana. The website signifies My Village My Pride which will be launched soon. The objective of the initiative is to invite all those from Haryana to contribute in the development of Haryana through CSR contributions.
There are many from Haryana who live in the state or outside became rich and earned name for themselves and still feel connected to their ancestral village in Haryana. All such individuals or organizations can contribute to their ancestral villages to be part of its development. The funds will be used to carry out various development initiatives worth Rs. 1000 crore.
The initiative was announced by the CM Manoharlal Khattar at Haryana CSR Summit 2018. A CSR portal haryanacsr.org for organizations is launched which list district-wise development projects to be carried out in Haryana. Rs. 177 crores are contributed by various CSR funds by leading companies. The fund will be used for rural development, education, sanitation, skill development, environment, health and women empowerment.
The CM has requested companies to contribute 2-5% of their profits towards CSR and partner with governments in the speedy execution of the development projects in the state. Annual contributions by corporate houses is Rs. 350 crores and government`s target is to increase it to 1000 crores. CM also honored and awarded those corporates and companies who contributed significantly in the development of the state.
