The National Health Agency (NHA) launched mera.pmjay.gov.in and 14555 – official website and toll-free number helpline for Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) / Ayushman Bharat Yojana / Rashtriya Swasth Bima Yojana (AB-NHPS). Prime Minister of India Shree Narendra Modi announced the mega health care scheme on Independence Day 15th August 2018. The scheme will provide free annual health cover of Rs. 5 lakh to 10.74 crore families in India.

- Users don`t need to apply for the scheme, beneficiaries will be identified by the government and will be given benefits without registration
- Government has appealed citizens to register only on the official website of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) which is mera.pmjay.gov.in and not to trust on any other websites, there are hundreds of fake and fraud website
- More than 10 lakh BPL families will be covered under the scheme
- More than 50 lakh people will be given free health check up and treatment under the scheme
- PMJAY provides cashless treatment to the beneficiaries
- Government of India to set up 1.5 lakh Ayushman Kendra / Health Care Centers to help people under the scheme
