Micro-Finance Loan Waiver Scheme

This scheme intends to encourage women to continue maintaining a good credit discipline.

Assam state government started Micro Finance Loan Waiver Scheme in the state. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched the scheme. This scheme is started with a motive to encourage the women beneficiaries to make regular re-payment of loan amount. Under this scheme the state government will provide incentives up to Rs 25000/- to each woman beneficiary. This scheme intends to motivate the women to maintain good credit discipline. CM distributed cheques to 5000 women beneficiaries of Tinsukia district on February 4, 2022. About 22674 women in Tinsukia district will get relief under this scheme.

  • Woman must have borrowed loans from micro finance institutions in the state.
