Uttarakhand government launched Mukhyamantri Swarojgar Yojana for all the migrant labourers of the state who returned back due to Covid-19 situations all over. This scheme was announced by CMO Uttarakhand, Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat. The main aim of this scheme is to encourage the migrant skilled, unskilled artisans, handicrafts-men, educated urban and rural unemployed etc to take up business opportunities. Under this scheme a financial assistance in the form of bank loans is provided to the migrants to start self-employment/Business.

Scheme Objectives:
- The main objective of the scheme is to provide loans to the migrants to start self-employment/business
- It aims at providing opportunities in rural as well as urban areas
- Encourages self-employment opportunities.
- It also aims to prevent migration to different places or states in search of jobs in the long run
Scheme Benefits:
- This scheme will encourage the self-employment base in the economy
- Funds will be available sector wise – manufacturing, service and business
- Projects in manufacturing sector will get RRs. 25 lakhs and Business and Services sector projects will get maximum Rs. 10 lakhs
- Application process is very easy and is available in offline as well as online mode
Eligibility:
- Applicant must mandatory be a resident of Uttarakhand
- Minimum age allowed is 18 years
- Applicant or his family member will be benefited only once under this scheme
- No mandatory education qualification
- Applicant must have not taken the benefit of any self-employment scheme by the central or state government within last 5 years
How to Apply:
Interested and Eligible candidates can apply either Online or Offline under this scheme.
For applying Online:
The applicant can visit the official portal of Mukhyamantri Swarojgar Yojana @ msy.uk.gov.in
- The applicant will have to register first. For registering, click on Register tab on the homepage
- Fill in the details required like, full name, mobile no., email id, address details, pin code, city, district, Aadhaar and PAN no.,
- Create a strong password and Click on Sign in
- After successful registration, an intimation will be sent on the registered mobile and email
- Then the applicant has to log in.
- Click on the log in tab on the home page
- Enter the registered email and password and click on Login
- Download and Fill in the form and other required details as personal details, category, occupation, etc
- Submit the application in the nearest bank with required documents and then after verification and processing, the loan will be sanctioned
For Applying Offline:
- The applicant should visit any nationalized bank, regional rural bank or state cooperative banks
- Take the application form from the bank counter
- Fill in the details like, name, occupation, gender, DOB, Aadhaar no., PAN no., etc
- Submit the duly filled form with the required documents
- After submitting, the form will be verified by the bank officer and then after successful verification the loan will be sanctioned
