Gujarat state cabinet approved the launch of Niramay Gujarat scheme on November 10, 2021. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will launch the scheme on November 12, 2021 from Palanpur town in Banaskantha district. Under this scheme, all the residents above the age of 30 years will be screened for various diseases like diabetes, cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure and other ailments. Screening and check-ups will be done for all the major non-communicable diseases.  These check-ups will be done at all Primary Health Centres (PHC), Community Health Centres (CHC) and government hospitals. Through this scheme the state government tends to ensure health and safety of the citizens through early diagnosis and treatment of ailments. It will turn out as a boon for the people who are not able to afford medical check-ups and treatments.
