Central Cabinet has passed order for Farmers and Trader related to reform in farming sector. The ordinance has been approved by Cabinet is One India, One Agriculture Market. The government also be encouraging private sector to invest in farming. Under this new ecosystem farmers will be able to sell their agri-produce out of Agriculture Produce Market Committees (APMCs) at a fair price across the country. According to act farmer and trader both are free to sell and purchase their agri-produce.
One India, One Agriculture Market scheme will promote barrier-free inter-state and intra-state trade and commerce outside the physical premises of markets under the state Agricultural Produce Marketing legislation. at present farmers are facing the restrictions where they can sell their produce only to the registered licencees and agents of state governments. With this act they will be free to sell at the best price in various states or across the India.

The scheme has been on Modi Government agenda since long and was announced by Finance minister Smt. Nirmala Sitaraman.
