A Domicile Certificate is generally issued to prove that the person is Resident of the State/UT by which the Certificate is being issued. This Certificate is required as proof of residence to avail Resident Quotas in educational institutions and in the Government Service, as also in case of jobs where local residents are preferred.  Goa government has started online service for issuing Domicile Certificate. Now people of Goa can avail Domicile certificate online

Who can apply for Domicile Certificate in Goa?

  1. A person who has a permanent residence in Goa can apply for domicile certificate
  2. Women not originally belonging to a State, but married to men who are permanent residents of the State are eligible to apply for Domicile Certificate but Minimum years of state residence proof is required

Documents required for Application of Domicile Certificate:

  1. Applicant’s Aadhar Card/Voter ID
  2. Residence Certificate from Mamlatdar
  3. Birth Certificate
  4. Attested Copy of Ration Card
  5. An affidavit to the effect that domicile has been renounced in case where the applicant is born outside Goa
  6. Application should be submitted with 2 passport size photographs

  8. Note: In case relevant documents are not uploaded, the application will be subjected to cancellation

  2. Then fill required information carefully and upload documents
  3. Note: The Fields marked with * are compulsory, In case relevant documents are not uploaded, the application will be subjected to cancellation, The Reference No. generated after submitting the application online should be maintained for tracking the status of the application
  4. Then to Check your Application Status and to Upload Documents please visit next link:
  5. Post visiting this link a window will appear which will look like the same image posted below
  6. Then you will ask to select Application Type and to type Application Ref No. then click on view. After that you will be able to Track Application Status and Upload Documents

Fee for the Domicile Certificate:

  1. The cost for issuing Domicile Certificate is not more than Rs. 50
