Opening and running Ashram Schools through voluntary agencies for Children of Sugarcane cutting labour introduced by the state government of Maharashtra. This scheme implemented by Social justice and special assistance department in Maharashtra with the help of voluntary agencies. Under this scheme, the government provides ashram schools along with the academic educational facility, free lodging, and boarding for sugarcane cutting labor children’s. It also provides bedding and clothing, uniforms, primary medical aid facilities to the residential students. This scheme is implemented on grant-in-aid to voluntary basis with 100% Salary and non-salary grants of Teaching, Non-teaching and Hostel approved employees are paid by Government & Rs.900/- PM per residential student is admissible. Sugarcane cutting labour migrates for their work for 4 to 5 months anywhere in Maharashtra. To avoid the gap in the education of their children and to protect their educational career, the government has sanctioned two residential Ashram Schools for Sugarcane cutting labour Children in Beed District. The Admissions are finalized by the concerned Head Master of the Ashram Schools in Maharashtra

Eligibility criteria:
