Sanskriti – Mani Mann Fellowship

Sanskriti Foundation was established by Acharya Shri Vidyanandji Maharaj. The creation of the Sanskriti Awards is the first activity of the Foundation. Mani Mann Fellowship is awarded to the young and talented young musicians to study and learn more under the acclaimed guru of Indian Classical Music. It is awarded to the Hindustani Classical Music. The introduction of this Fellowship is to encourage talented young artists to go in their field. This fellowship will facilitate the candidates with the resources and time so that the candidate give their dedication in support of art. This fellowship is designed in Hindustani Classical Music for young musicians to study and learn.

Benefits of Sanskriti – Mani Mann Fellowship:

  • The selected candidates will be provided with a scholarship amount of Rs. 1,00,000 will be paid in two instalments
  • The first instalment will be paid to the fellows at the start of Fellowship and the fellows will be required to submit a short mid-term progress report
  • The second instalment after the submission of your complete project report when the candidate may be requested to give a vocal recital

Required Eligibility and Conditions for Applying Sanskriti – Mani Mann Fellowship:

  1. The fellowships is open to Indians
  2. The candidates applying should be between 25 to 40 years of age
  3. Sanskriti Foundation encourages women applicants to apply for the fellowships
  4. Candidates should have a degree/diploma from a recognized university or institution
  5. Applicants should have at least ten years of initial training in Indian classical music
  6. Applicants should also have performed at least 2-3 solo performances in recognized forums
  7. Successful candidates must take guidance from another senior guru and enhance the existing style
  8. The programme is for a period of three months, and it can also be spread over the period of one year. SO, the candidate is asked to take consent from his/her current guru and the guru he/she would want to go to

Document Required for Applying Sanskriti – Mani Mann Fellowship:

  1. The applicants should attach a two-page CV
  2. A write up should be included which should explain about the project in a maximum of 500 words
  3. The candidates should include their full postal, telephonic contact details and the e-mail id
  4. Candidates are also expected submit few samples of previous work, project or performances should be submitted
  5. Applicants need to add the names and contact addresses/telephones of two referees

Application Procedure: There are two ways, by which the candidates can submit the Research Proposal, Curriculum Vitae and contact/address and these are

  1. Submit through Post: The application can be send by post to the given address with giving the title ‘Sanskriti – Mani Mann Fellowship’ on the top of the envelope. The postal address is “Sanskriti Foundation, C-11, Qutab Institutional Area, New Delhi-110 016”
  2. Submit through Mail: Application can be emailed at fellowships@sanskritifoundation.org  and the subject of the mail should be ‘Sanskriti – Mani Mann Fellowship’
