The Government of Jharkhand has launched SC / ST Civil Seva Protsahan Yojana to encourage students to pursuive civil services. Government will now on provide Rs. 1 lakh financial assistance to SC/ST students on clearing UPSC prelims (PT) rounds conducted by Union Public Service Commission. The primary objective of the scheme is to encourage and empower scheduled caste and scheduled tribes (Maha Dalit) communities. Most of the students cannot continue their studies because of financial limitations. The scheme will provide much needed support to continue studies.
The state government will provide the money as single grant and it will be directly transfered directly to the beneficiaries bank account. The scheme is applicable from 1st August 2018 and launched on 5th November 2018.
SC / ST Civil Seva Protsahan Yojana: A financial assistance scheme for the SC/ST students who cleared UPSC prelims.
Objectives:
- To financially support SC/ST students
- To encourage them for civil/public services
SC / ST Civil Seva Protsahan Yojana Benefits: Grant of Rs. 1 lakh on clearing preliminary tests (PT) round in UPSC examinations
SC / ST Civil Seva Protsahan Yojana Eligibility:
- The scheme is applicable only to the SC/ST students
- The scheme is meant for the residents of Jharkhand only
- Applicable only to those students who passed their 12th and graduation from the Jharkhand
- Applicable only to those students who`s annual income is less than Rs. 2.5 lakh
The scheme will help all those students who needs to stay away from the families to prepare for UPSC examinations. The financial support will help with to pay for coaching, books, stay and food. The scheme is applicable only to those who are taking coaching in Jharkhand and not applicable to those who are taking coaching out of the state. The cabinet headed by the Chief Minister Shri Raghubar Das approved the scheme and allocated budget for the same.
SC/ST छात्र-छात्राओं को संघ लोक सेवा आयोग द्वारा आयोजित सिविल सेवा परीक्षा की प्रारंभिक परीक्षा में उत्तीर्ण होने पर मुख्य परीक्षा / साक्षात्कार की तैयारी हेतु एक लाख रुपये की आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान की जायेगी। #NewJharkhand
