Sugarcane Development Scheme launched by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, Government of India and implemented by Government of Maharashtra under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana. The main objective of this scheme is to increase productivity by reducing the production cost of sugarcane, to promote quality seed use and distribution of seed production through Vasantdada Sugar Institute, to provide training to farmers and employees for the promotion of technology. Under this scheme sugarcane crop grower farmer to get the practical demonstration to increase production of sugarcane in Maharashtra. The initiative of Maharashtra government to encourage the farmer to grow sugarcane in Maharashtra and increase the production. All farmer resident of Maharashtra can apply to the scheme. Benefits of Sugarcane Development Scheme:

• Scheme provides benefits in the form of financial assistance and training to the farmer
• Under this scheme, practical demonstration will be given to the farmer to increase productivity of sugarcane
• 8,000 is given per hectare for demonstration
