AICTE Pragati & Saksham Scholarship Scheme 2017-18: apply online at aicte-pragati-saksham-gov.in

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has invited applications for Pragati & Saksham Scholarship Scheme 2017-18. All the students who are studying in the first year degree or diploma courses can now apply online before 30th November 2017.

Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students: A Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) scholarship scheme for girls. The objective of the scheme is to empower women through technical education and to provide them equal opportunities. The Pragati Scholarship is given to 4000 girl students every year (2000 from degree and 2000 from diploma courses). Under the scheme a scholarship amount of Rs. 30,000 or tuition fees along with Rs. 2000 per month incidental charges is given for 10 months. In case the fees is waived off then Rs. 30,000 is given for purchased of books/computers/vehicles/equipments/fees for any competitive examinations etc. Reservation of 15% for SC, 7.5$ for ST and 27% for OBC is given under the Pragati Scheme. Eligibility for Pragati Scholarship Scheme (Scholarship Scheme to Girl Child (SSGC)):

1. Only candidates who is studying in the first year of AICTE approved Diploma and Engineering courses can apply
2. Only girls can apply for the scholarship
3. Only two girl children in a family can apply for the scheme
4. Only those girls who have taken admission to the degree or diploma courses and are in the first year can apply
5. Applicant`s family income should not be more than 8 lakh per year

Documents required for application of Pragati Scholarship scheme:

1. 10th, 12th and other applicable marksheets
2. Annual family income certificate
3. Admission letter by the Directorate of Technical Education
4. Certificate issued Principal/Director/Head of the Institute
5. Tuition fees receipt
6. AADHAR card
7. Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates
8. Bank account details (Account number, Bank name & branch, IFSC code)
9. Declaration by the parents certifying that the information is correct

Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Students:

Saksham Scholarship Scheme is the scheme by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) for specially abled students. Under the scheme a scholarship is provided to encourage specially abled students for technical education. The goal is to provide equal opportunities to them and empower them with technical education. AICTE provides scholarship to 1000 students 500 from degree courses and 500 from diploma courses. Annual scholarship of Rs. 30,000 or tuition fees along with Rs. 2,000 incidental charges will be provided for 10 months. These students are also eligible for scholarship of Rs. 30,000 for purchase of books / equipments / vehicles / softwares / computers / fees for competitive examinations. The reservation is applicable for Saksham Scholarship Scheme too. 15% is reserved for SC, 7% for ST and 27% for OBC. For more details on Saksham Scholarship Scheme click here

Eligibility for Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Students:

1. Candidates who too admission to the first year degree / diploma courses in the AICTE approved technical institutes can apply
2. Only specially abled students with 40% or more disabilities can apply
3. Students who`s family income is not more than 8 lakh can apply
4. Selection will be made based on the score in the qualifying examination for the admission to the technical degree/diploma courses
5. Candidates who took admission through Centralized Admission Process only are eligible

Documents required for Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Students:

1. 10th and 12th mark sheets
2. Family income certificate
3. Disability certificate
4. Admission letter from Directorate of Technical Education
5. Certificate from Director / Principal / Head of the institute
6. Tuition fees receipt
7. AADHAR card
8. Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC students
9. Declaration by the parents certifying all the information is correct

How to apply online for AICTE Pragati & Saksham Scholarship Scheme / Step by step application procedure for AICTE Pragati & Saksham Scholarship Scheme:

STEP 1: Go to AICTE Pragati & Saksham Scholarship official portal or click here

STEP 2: If you are already registered then register first. To register click on Register Here enter the details and then click on Register

STEP 3: Now login with your login details which you got after registration

STEP 4: Enter personal details under tab Personal Details

STEP 5: Go to Family & Income Details tab and specify family and income details

STEP 6: Go to Institute Details tab and provide institute, admission details

STEP 7: Go to Education Details tab and provide your 10th and 12th details

STEP 8: Go to Bank Details tab and specify your bank details, make sure that the details are correct as your scholarship amount will be transfered to this account

STEP 9: Go to Attachments tab and upload all the documents specified in the Documents required… section in this article

STEP 10: Submit your application
